About PrivaSearch
A client of our software company, Coding Agency, asked us: ‘Can we work with ChatGPT within the GDPR?’ We thought that could be arranged. It turned out it couldn't. There's no setting that solves it for you, not even the option to store data in Europe.
Where data is stored and where it goes is one question. The GDPR asks more. With a client file in a chat window, four remained unanswered.
An AI assistant doesn't need the names, BSNs (Dutch citizen service numbers) and addresses in a client file to give a good answer. In a chat window it gets them anyway.
A chat window doesn't know a firm's client file permissions. What one employee uploads falls outside every access arrangement.
When a client or a supervisory authority asks what happened to a client file, you have to be able to show it.
Someone has to check that the personal data is really gone before the material is used.
PrivaSearch is our answer to those four: personal data is replaced with pseudonyms, a colleague approves every document, the permissions per project stay in force, and every download, every reveal and every refused access is recorded in a log. How it works.
